- Is this program for oncology only?
No, you will have an IPE curriculum applicable and transferable to serious illnesses, such as advanced cardiovascular or neurologic diseases. Additionally you will have learning activities applicable to any IPE effort.
- What is the time commitment for iPEX?
iPEX training is a 9 month commitment. The schedule is as follows:

- What if we are interested but cannot participate this year?
There will be new training starting in Fall 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. (see table)
- How many applicants will be accepted?
Approximately 10 teams (40 applicants) will be accepted per year.
- Where and when will the workshop take place?
The first iPEX workshop will be in Chicago, November 11-14, 2018.
- Does each team member need to be from a different discipline?
No, as long as three (3) disciplines are represented.
- What is the cost for the program?
iPEX is funded by the National Cancer Institute. Airfare ($600 maximum per person), hotel accommodations, conference meals and materials for the workshop are included.
