Kasper
The Kentucky All Schedule Prescription Electronic Reporting (KASPER) tracks controlled substance prescriptions dispensed within a specified time period, the prescriber and the dispenser. It is housed under the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Enhanced KASPER (eKASPER) provides Web-based access to KASPER data. KASPER catalogs most of the Schedule II-V controlled substance prescriptions written and dispensed within the state. It is meant to be a source of information for practitioners and pharmacists as well as an investigative tool for law enforcement. It is not intended to prevent people from obtaining needed drugs or to decrease the number of doses dispensed.
