Dr. Dan Conklin is the Co-Director of the Research Experience and Training Coordination Core (RETCC) for the Superfund Research Center -- a program that stresses training for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in the environmental health sciences. Within this framework he assists the Dr. David Hein in facilitating and coordinating a variety of activities aimed at providing trainees with critical skills and knowledge to become the next generation of environmental health scientists. This includes but is not limited to providing access to critical infrastructure such as state-of-the-art cores, critical review activities to sharpen scientific presentations, field trips to Superfund and Brownfields sites, subject appropriate learning modules, networking opportunities, and team building activities.
