The two major atmospheric science organizations also have scholarship opportunities.

• National Weather Association

While we are on the subject of these organizations, it may not be a bad idea to become a member of one or both.  Student members of the AMS & NWA get reduced member due rates and can also benefit from the various programs, conferences, journals, and publications that each have to offer.  As a matter of fact, the National Weather Association conference was held in Louisville in 2008!
