Dr. Fabian Crespo
I am standing at the archaeological excavation of the “Huaca de los Frisos” in the complex/valley of Chotuna-Chornancap in the Northwest of Peru (see the frieze decoration on the back wall on my right).
I am working with students in the lab (proteomic sampling) at the Museo Nacional de Sican, Peru.
I am visiting the archaeological excavation and ancient temples at the “Huaca Ventarron” (Lambayeque Valley, Peru). I am here (on my left) with prestigious local archaeologist (and director of the excavation): Ignacio Alva Meneses; and with the co-director of the current project (and Director of the Bio-history Project of Lambayeque Valley): Prof. Haagen Klaus. Also in the photo, graduate students from George Mason University and the University of Tennessee.
I am visiting the archaeological excavation of the impressive “Huaca de la Luna” (near Trujillo, Peru). On my back (top) you see different friezes with anthropomorphic and animal figures, and on my right (far back) you see half of the famous “Mural de los Mitos” (Mural of the Myths) from the Moche culture.
