This livestreamed event, presented by the Life Development Corporation, will focus on 1) social factors that help increase HIV rates for African Americans as well as access and awareness of pre-exposure prophylaxis (a medication regimen to reduce HIV risk) as a prevention strategy for African American young adults, 2) criminal justice and collective trauma for African Americans, and 3) Access to healthcare. There will be panels with community leaders and public health practitioners who will discuss the importance of these topics and strategize for how to address them.
