Ombuds Contact

Tony Belak is the University's ombuds following the recommendations of the Ad Hoc Grievance Process Review Committee that the university establish an Ombuds Office and that the university ombudsperson be selected and appointed according to the same process used to select the university grievance officer. He opened the office on October 1, 2010.  His associate Karen Harrell Porter joined his office full-time on August 1, 2012 after establishing the Ombuds Office and coordinating the efforts of the Staff Senate for the previous two years.

The Ombuds Office is located at 426 W. Bloom Street in the Urban Research Institute  (between 4th & 5th Sts., located behind Betty Johnson Hall and next to the Early Learning Campus)
