Dean's Welcome
Welcome to the University of Louisville Libraries, which include Ekstrom Library, the Music Library, the Art Library, the University Archives and the Kornhauser Library on the Health Sciences campus. We hope that the Libraries’ multiple web pages will be useful to you as you look for information. The Libraries’ web pages serve as an introduction to our virtual library. Through these web pages you will gain access to millions of print volumes from throughout the United States as well other countries.
They will also provide you with access to electronic books and databases as well as thousands of electronic journals, reference materials, other library resources, library guides and multiple library services. Especially important is Minerva, the Libraries’ online access catalog and gateway to our many collections.
The libraries hold more than 2.2 million print volumes, thousands of current journal subscriptions , provide access to more than 74,000 full-text electronic journals, various special collections, media and microforms. Important services offered by the Libraries include reference, state-of-the-art document delivery and intensive information skills instruction.
The West Wing of Ekstrom Library features a robotic storage facility, the Tulip Tree Café, a 24-hour study facility, numerous exhibits and a state-of-the-art auditorium.
Again, welcome to the Libraries’ new web pages and please contact a librarian if you need assistance.
