UofL support for AAPI communities
Cardinal Family,
Recent attacks against members of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities have caused divisiveness and fear not only in our community, but across the country. The University of Louisville community stands united in our support of AAPI communities as they face increasing displays of hate, xenophobia and violence.
The spike in hateful and harmful language and actions since the pandemic has resulted in increased pain, anxiety and fear, causing many in our Cardinal community and beyond to suffer in silence.
As stated in our Cardinal Principles, we are a Community of Care – care for self, care for one another as a Cardinal Family, and care for the larger community. We ask everyone to step up and turn this principle into concrete action to address the root causes of racism and hate. We invite you also to prioritize efforts designed to celebrate and uplift the AAPI communities.
