Tajleed Hardy is a 2nd year MFA in Performance student at UofL and is active in the Department’s African American Theatre Program. Prior to graduate school, he worked as an actor throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. He performed in Fences, Ruined, The Amen Corner, and A Soldier's Play. His professional credits include The Tempest, The Wiz, and The Comedy of Errors at Virginia Stage Company. Tajleed is a New Orleans, Louisiana native who lived for five years in Norfolk, Virginia. He graduated summa cum laudewith a 3.79 GPA

from Norfolk State University (NSU), where he earned a BA in Drama and Theatre. Tajleed was also part of the award-winning NSU Theatre Company, for which he won Best Supporting Actor, Outstanding Leadership, and Sustained Academic Excellence. At UofL, he has performed the role of Parker in Split Second (2021), John in Afromemory (2022), and Justin in Blood of the Root (2022). He is currently touring two Theatre for Young Audiences shows with the UofL Repertory Company. His next role is in the Spring 2023 UofL production of Jackie Sibblies Drury’s Fairview
