Alice Bridges is committed to improving the health of our community—moving beyond the traditional medical model by partnering with residents to improve wellness and well-being. She has put this commitment to work at KentuckyOne Health where she serves as Vice President of Healthy Communities in Louisville. She has worked for KentuckyOne and its legacy organization, Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare, since 1986. KentuckyOne Health is the largest health system in Kentucky with more than 200 locations including hospitals, outpatient facilities and physician offices, and more than 2,325 licensed beds. The organization is committed to bringing wellness, healing and hope to all, including the underserved—and to transforming the health of communities, care delivery and health care professions so that individuals and families can enjoy the best of health and well-being.Bridges is President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Louisville (one of the largest Rotary clubs in the world), the editorial board for the Archdiocese of Louisville’s regional newspaper, and the Partnership Advisory Council for Passport, a non-profit Medicaid managed care organization serving the Louisville metropolitan area. She was a 2013 Bingham Fellow, a prestigious leadership program focused on implementing sustainable change around a topic of community interest, which focused on building a smart food culture. She served as a member of the Health Advisory Group to Great Louisville Project’s 2013 Special Report, “Building a Healthier Louisville.” Bridges is a veteran of the Churchill Downs Kentucky Derby Host Program, welcoming horse owners to Louisville’s most celebrated sporting event.Bridges earned a B.A. in Public Relations at Eastern Kentucky University and will complete a Masters of Pastoral Studies from Loyola University New Orleans in 2016. Alice and her husband, Barry, have two young adult children, Max and Erin.
