Tonya Koehne RN, BSN, MSN is a clinical research coordinator in the CTU focusing on Neuroscience trials. She has her BSN and MSN from Western Governors University in Nursing Informatics. She joined UofL in 2021 with a background of 20 years critical care experience primarily in medical and neuro ICUs. In addition to her clinical coordinator duties, she also conducts protocol reviews for physician-initiated studies to evaluate study design and methodology, creates CRFs for studies, and builds REDCap databases for these studies. She is also a member of the RDCD core working with the bio informaticists to improve data quality in research. She is also passionate about providing affirming care for members of the LGBTQIA community in the research setting.
