Julie Caswell, BSN, RN is a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator for the CTU.  She is a graduate of Bellarmine University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.  Julie joined the University of Louisville in December of 2017 after working for over 20 years in the Intensive Care Unit of Baptist Health Hospital Louisville as an ACLS Certified Registered Nurse.  She served as a charge nurse and was on the Code/Rapid Response/Stroke teams.  She also served as a preceptor and mentor to new nurses.  She has experience in the creation of new procedures and treatment protocols, as well as quality control.  She worked in various areas of Intensive care including renal, pulmonary, neurological, cardiac, infectious disease and surgical.  She has her NIHSS and ACLS certifications.  Her primary studies are with Cardiology which includes stem cell, device, and medication research for Heart Failure.
