About
Dr. Tyler Ellis
With appointments in both the School of Medicine and School of Public Health, I am both a clinical colorectal surgeon and health service researcher. As a result, I am a member of the Cancer Care and Control Program at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. My research interests focus on the impact of care coordination, provider factors, and health care organization on the delivery of multidisciplinary cancer care and patient outcomes. To date, my work has focused on patient-provider shared decision-making and disparities with innovative treatment of rectal cancer and surveillance patterns. I have methodological expertise in secondary data analysis, survey research, and epidemiologic studies. I am excited to join the robust environment for collaborative health services and cancer research at UofL.
