Biography
Neil Trautwein is a Louisville native and U of L POLS graduate. Trautwein enjoyed a 35-year career in Washington, DC with lobbying, legislative and association experience with four prominent Washington trade associations and a leading Member of Congress. He is one of the most respected business health care lobbyists in Washington with bipartisan House, Senate and Administration relationships and with the press. Trautwein is a noted leader in building coalitions among diverse interests toward common policy goals.
Trautwein served as staff advisor to U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) during his first term in office. He has testified in multiple Congresses before several House and Senate Committees. Trautwein has been quoted in the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and Politico, among other publications. He has appeared on NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox and Fox Business, and NPR. Trautwein is a registered federal lobbyist.
