Ryan Froese's research focuses on modern German philosophy (especially Hegel), metaphysics, and theories of normativity. He is especially interested in the relationship between logic and metaphysics, the development of norms, and the role of modality in these domains. His current projects explore Hegel’s accounts of necessity and method, and the role of possibility in competing conceptions of the good.
