The Department of Health Management and Systems Sciences offers four 100% online graduate certificates to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and lead in a multitude of healthcare settings.

The format of the online certificate programs is ideal for healthcare professionals seeking to advance their careers, including nurses, clinical workers and allied health administrators who want to enhance their skills and advance to leadership and management positions.
Certificate in Healthcare Management* - This graduate certificate is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and lead in a multitude of healthcare settings.
Certificate in Healthcare Financial Management - This 4-course (12 credit hour) certificate is designed for individuals working in or looking to pursue positions in the financial arena of the healthcare sector by expanding their financial and administrative background, which will better prepare these individuals for leadership-level career growth.
Certificate in Healthcare Quality and Project Management* - This certificate is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the dynamic and evolving field of healthcare strategic management, in both small and large-scale settings.
Certificate in Population Health Management* - This certificate is designed for healthcare professionals who want to gain the strategic knowledge and tools needed to effectively understand and respond to the challenges and opportunities within the healthcare industry across geographic and demographic populations.

Admission Requirements
The admission criteria is the same for each of the above-listed Certificates in Health Management. Applicants must have completed a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Graduate application submitted to the Graduate School
- Official transcripts indicating conferral of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Note: Transcripts from institutions outside of the United States will require a foreign credential evaluation.
- Curriculum vitae or resume
- One-page personal statement written by the applicant that is a clear, substantive description of his or her goals in public health and healthcare management.
- Application fee
- Students whose primary language is not English must show English language proficiency by attaining one of the following:
- TOEFL score of 79 or higher (after conversion for test type)
- IELTS test score of 6.5 or higher
- Duolingo English test score of 105 or higher
- Demonstration of a degree award from an acceptable English language institution, as formally documented by an appropriate institutional official.
