Admission Requirements

Students will need to meet the following requirements to apply to this graduate certificate:

1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
2. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75
3. An updated resume or CV (Curriculum Vitae) (admissions committee will review for healthcare experience)
4. A one-page personal statement written by the applicant that is a clear, substantive description of the applicant's goals in public health and health care management

Please note: MSHA graduates or currently enrolled MSHA students are not eligible to receive this healthcare management certificate. The MSHA CAHME-accredited degree is the appropriate and sufficient credential for development.

International Applicants

Course Descriptions

• I have less than a 2.75 grade point average, can I still apply?

  If you have less than a 2.75 GPA, you can still apply. You will need to address your GPA in your personal statement, stating what you have learned and how you plan to be successful in the program. • Can I still apply if I don’t have a background in healthcare?

  All organizational experience is welcomed, but healthcare is preferred.

• How long are the courses?

  The courses for the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Quality and Project Management are carried out over 8 weeks.

• When are courses taught?

  Courses will be taught in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters, respectively.

• How many classes do I take?

  Students will complete 5 courses worth 3 credit hours each for a total of 15 credit hours.
