Ozy Anyanwu, of Richmond, Ky., is a member of the McConnell Scholar Class of 2028 at the University of Louisville. She studies political science on a global studies and international affairs track with minors in Spanish and history.

Ozy is a graduate of Madison Central High School where she was president of Central in Action, Vice President of the National Honors Society, secretary of musical theatre and chorus, and served on the Madison County Superintendent Teen Task Force. She was a member of the mock trial team and the Young Democrats Committee.
