Luke Taylor, of Owensboro, Ky., is a member of the McConnell Scholar Class of 2027 at the University of Louisville. He studies biology and political science on a pre-dental track.

Luke is a graduate of Daviess County High School, where he served as Student Body President, National Honor Society President, and President of the Kiwanis Service Club. He was also the Founder and Executive Director of the Daviess County raiseRED Dance Marathon, member of the Kentucky Commissioner of Education's Student Advisory Council, and member of the Wendell H. Ford Statesmanship Academy. Luke is the son of Dr. Brandon and Kim Taylor and an alumnus of the Governor's Scholars Program and McConnell Center's Young Leaders Academy.
I am thrilled to experience the numerous opportunities the McConnell Scholars Program will afford me. Within the program I hope to be challenged by my mentors and peers, all while creating a positive sense of community that will allow me to give back to the university and Commonwealth that has given so much to me.
