Camryn McPherson, of Union, Ky., is a member of the McConnell Scholar Class of 2025 at the University of Louisville where she studies psychology and political science.

High School

Camryn is a graduate of Walton-Verona High School, where she graduated as salutatorian and served as president of Future Business Leaders of America, chair of Y-Club Civic Engagement, and a leader of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She also played varsity soccer and was actively involved in student council and Beta Club. Camryn participated in KY YMCA's Y-Corps Program and served as a Marketing Intern for her school's yearbook staff. She is an alumna of the Governor's Scholars Program.

The McConnell Scholars Program provides opportunities which will push me academically and expose me to new viewpoints and topics. This program includes many of my passions and being selected as a scholar felt purposeful. I am excited to see what the McConnell Scholars Program holds for me.
