GlyptusAnn Grider Jones directs the McConnell Center’s communications and marketing efforts and facilitates the center's campus and community partnerships. She also manages the center's monthly lecture and Distinguished Speaker series.
Her grant management and proposal development has helped secure more than $4.5 million in grants and gifts to strengthen the state and national presence of the center's programming and mission. She has served as the lead program evaluator for the McConnell Center's Strategic Broadening Seminar for the US Army and was the founding designer and editor of Meditations, an online newsletter to support the continuing education of military professionals.
Prior to joining the McConnell Center, Jones was a reporter at multiple newspapers and spent a year in South Korea through the Fulbright teaching program. She is a two-time graduate of the University of Louisville, where she earned a PhD in urban and public affairs. As an undergraduate, she was named the most outstanding communications student and earned the political science department's Louis C. Kesselman and Jean & Eleanor O'Sullivan awards.
