Biography

As Beginning German Coordinator and German Advisor, Jordan works closely with students in our beginning German sequence and provides advising to students enrolled in our German Minor program. He also provides advising to students at all proficiency levels interested in studying abroad in German-speaking countries.

Alongside his core professional responsibilities, Professor Gabbard also volunteers as Co-Chair of the Mainz Committee of Sister Cities of Louisville. In this capacity he recruits students for our Mainz-Louisville university exchange, maintains communication with partners in Mainz and organize local events to discuss and learn about German culture and language.

Professor Gabbard is also Co-Director for the KIIS Austria summer study abroad program, which regularly gives him the opportunity to introduce students to Bregenz, Austria.
