Biography
Alan Leidner holds a PhD in German Language and Literature from the University of Virginia. His publications include work on Schiller, Goethe, J. M. R Lenz, F. M. Klinger, and Johann Kaspar Lavater.
Since arriving at the University of Louisville, he has taught courses on the literary fairy tale, the Age of Goethe, German intellectual history, the nineteenth-century novel, and early modern and modern culture.
