Katelyn McMahon is a doctoral student and Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Louisville. She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminology from Drury University, and a Master of Science degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice from Missouri State University. At Missouri State she also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and earned a Graduate Certificate in Child Forensic Psychology. Her research interests include victimology, police perceptions of victims, and queer criminology. Katelyn currently works under the mentorship of Dr. Bradley Campbell on the Kentucky Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Cold Case Training and Research Project, and has published in Policing & Society.
