About
Branna is a 4th year doctoral candidate from Chattanooga, TN. She earned her undergraduate and master's degrees in Criminology & Criminal Justice from East Tennessee State University. Her research has focused on examining how adverse childhood experiences and trauma impact behavioral and mental health outcomes for various populations, mainly focusing on offenders and correctional officers. Branna is currently a Social Science Research Analyst with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She hopes to improve the effectiveness of the prison system with her research so that people in custody can have a better chance of not reoffending.
