About
Dr. Katie Hughes-Taylor is an assistant professor with the University of Louisville. She received her Bachelors in Justice Administration from the University of Louisville in 2016, her Masters in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2017, and most recently, her Ph.D. from the University of Louisville in 2021. Dr. Hughes-Taylor has a passion for teaching, and her research interests surround Institutional Corrections. Most recently, she and mentor Dr. Kristin Swartz have published work regarding correctional staff health and wellness in Criminal Justice Studies, which will soon be turned into a book. Outside of research, Dr. Hughes-Taylor is the faculty advisor for both the Alpha Phi Sigma and Lambda Alpha Epsilon criminal justice clubs.
