Alex O. Widdowson is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Louisville. He received his Ph.D. in 2018 from Florida State University’s College of Criminology and Criminal Justice. His research interest includes the development of crime over the life course, the consequences of criminal behavior and criminal justice sanctioning, and prisoner reentry. His work has been published in American Journal of Public Heath, Criminology, Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Journal of Quantitative Criminology, Journal of Criminal Justice, Crime & Delinquency, Youth Violence & Juvenile Justice, Journal of Developmental and Life-Course Criminology, Journal of Adolescent Health, Journal of Research on Adolescence, and Journal of Early Adolescence. He teaches courses on criminological theory, criminal and delinquent behavior, statistics, and research methods.
