Welcome to the University of Louisville’s Energy Savings Performance Contracting website. Here you will find information about what energy efficiency projects are occurring on multiple campuses and how these projects will positively affect the students, faculty, and staff at the University of Louisville.
Background for Phase 1
The University of Louisville has moved quickly to achieve a greener, more sustainable future for its Belknap and HSC Campus with the help of a comprehensive, $21.7 million energy and resource efficiency improvement project delivered by the Building Technologies Division of Siemens Industry, Inc. The campus-wide effort, among the largest of its kind in the region, has significantly lowed the overall carbon footprint and realize enough energy savings to reduce equivalent energy costs by more than $2.3 million annually. Construction activities related to the compiled scope of work achieved during Phase 1 began in September 2009 and was completed in December 2010. An overview is provided below.
