Black History Month 2024: Audubon Traditional Elementary School: African American Read-In Week 2024

Mark your calendars for the Audubon Traditional Elementary School Read-In! During Black History Month, Audubon Traditional Elementary School hosts an African American Read-In Week bringing adults to Audubon to read to all classes and grade levels. Reading materials are selected by our library team and provided to our reading volunteers when they arrive at school. Visiting readers will read with the class for 20-25 minutes and have a few minutes of discussion with the class. This event provides an opportunity for students to experience relevant subject matter, and to learn from and meet adults from a variety of backgrounds. Volunteers are needed for reading to classes during the week of February 5 - 9 and can register here.

***BFSA regularly host events in celebration of Black History Month, Juneteenth, and Kwanzaa. Please be sure to check back for updated event information.***
