About

Maggie Leininger received her B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her M.F.A. from Arizona State University. Exploring fibers, performance, sculpture, installation, and other multi-media approaches to making, Leininger is interested in social relationships that define, support, and divide who we are. Working both within and outside of the traditional gallery/museum structure, Leininger often incorporates collaboration with various community entities as a part of her work. Recent exhibitions include Center for Contemporary Arts, Santa Fe NM, Bridgeport Art Center, Chicago, IL, and Spartanburg Art Museum, Spartanburg SC.
