CPT Michelle Hauprich

About

Captain Michelle E. Hauprich is a native of Cobb, California and enlisted into the Army in 2010.  She was assigned to the Ordnance Corps and completed Explosive Ordnance Disposal School in 2011.  Captain Hauprich commissioned in 2014 as a Distinguished Military Graduate from Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia. She was assigned to the Ordnance Branch and completed Basic Officer Leaders Course in 2015.

Captain Hauprich was first assigned to the 75th Ordnance Company (EOD), 71st Ordnance Battalion (EOD), Fort Hood, TX where she served as an EOD Team Member and was selected to attend Officer Candidate School. After commissioning she was assigned to the 720th Ordnance Company (EOD), 18th Combat Services Support Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade in Baumholder, Germany where she served as the unit’s Operation Officer then Platoon Leader.

Next, she was selected to serve as the Assistant Operations Officer of the 16th Special Troops Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st Theater Support Command during the Brigade’s support to Atlantic Resolve which earned the Brigade an Army Superior Unit Award. 

 After completing Captains Career Course, Captain Hauprich was assigned to United States Army Cadet Command Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment where she has served as Company Commander for two years. Then she was assigned as the 7th Brigade Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Operations Officer in Charge and Recruiting and Marketing Officer in Charge.

Captain Hauprich is a graduate of the EOD Logistics Captains Career Course, Ordnance Basic Officers Leader Course, and the Warrior Leader Course. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Chemistry from Sonoma State University.

Captain Hauprich’s military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Metal, Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Metal, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal Badge and Air Assault Badge.   

Captain Hauprich is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Louisville Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, United States Army Cadet Command in Louisville, KY. She is married to Steven Hauprich of Santa Rosa, CA who serves as electrician apprentice with the 369 Electrician Union of KY. They have a son, Matthew and a daughter, Grace.
