About
As an evolutionary anthropologist, I am broadly interested in how evolutionary processes have shaped human populations, and more specifically how human genetic variation has been structured. I am presently interested in characterizing those processes that have influenced genetic variation in human population isolates found on islands compared with continental populations using a variety of data and methods. Current graduate students are using simulations to test hypotheses regarding which evolutionary forces and phylogeographic processes are most salient for understanding the modern samples from Europe and populations of the North Atlantic.
I am accepting new graduate students interested the human molecular evolution. Refer to the MAPS page for further information, and feel free to email me!
