Stephanie Boone

Stephanie D. Boone, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Epidemiology and Population Health, was selected as a 2020 Health Disparities Research Institute Scholar. Out of over 250+ applicants, 66 were selected and invited to participate in the Health Disparities Research Institute (HDRI) in early August. The goal of the HDRI is to provide participants with a broad overview of the leading issues facing minority health and health disparities research and stimulate discussion of proposed research projects. Congratulations!


Robin Newlon

Robin Newlon was awarded the university’s 2020 Outstanding Performance Award for an Office Support Professional. Robin has served as the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health for seven years. Her main job duties revolve around managing and distributing information within the department and the school. Robin was described by her coworkers as "an ever-present rock of stability in turbulent and changing times - always cheerful, always helpful, and always going the extra mile to make sure that departmental activities come off without a hitch.” Congratulations!
