Register for a free webinar, hosted by the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, on Oct. 8 from 1-2 p.m. ET to hear Chris Johnson, PhD, professor, chair, Dept. of Health Management & Systems Sciences, and several others discuss the importance of evaluations and what we can learn from well-designed and executed evaluation work.

Evaluation is a key component in any good quality improvement strategy. Results from a good evaluation can build organization knowledge and will lead to informed decision making. Evaluations can also assess the feasibility and success of training programs, including the identification of barriers and gaps in curriculum and training implementation as they relate to key outcomes. Evaluations can also identify short-term effects of programs and services.
Kentucky-based evaluation experts will share their work exploring these ideas and more. We welcome your questions about evaluations. Please enter them via the registration page.
Webinar objectives:
  • Understand three evaluation approaches.
  • Learn about common uses of evaluation.
  • Learn about three Kentucky-based evaluations.
The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky launched the Health for a Change training series as part of an effort to support nonprofit leaders across the Commonwealth in the work of advancing today’s pressing health issues. Participants connect with a wide-range of leaders in the field and learn about best practices and proven models through a unique combination of webinars and workshops throughout this free annual series. Training topics include, but are not limited to, coalition building and maintenance, lobbying and advocacy, evidence-based programs and policies, grantwriting, and business planning and sustainability.
