Dr. King is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with swallowing, voice and airway disorders.

Research Focus

Dr. King’s research explores the underlying mechanisms contributing to swallowing dysfunction following treatment for head and neck cancer. Specifically, she investigates the molecular and behavioral factors associated with muscle and nerve injury. Understanding the pathophysiology of swallowing disorders will lead to potential targets for interventions that can circumvent or manage these disorders.
