Students: CardMail/Office 365 Log-In Changes Coming Soon

Over the holiday break, University IT will merge students' CardMail accounts into the University's new Office 365 environment. Please read this entire item to see how you'll be affected.

Over the holiday break, University IT will merge students' CardMail accounts into the University's new Office 365 environment. Consequently, following the merger of your individual account, you will no longer use username@cardmail.louisville.edu to log in to e-mail and other Office 365 applications. Instead, you will log in as username@louisville.edu, and this will be your official UofL e-mail address going forward.

At present, we do not know whether students will receive advance notice of their individual migration dates. The most detailed information we have is as follows:

  • Students who are not enrolled in Winter Session courses will be merged first, between December 26th and 30th.
  • Students who are enrolled in Winter Session courses will be merged next, between January 5th and 6th.

According to our latest information from University IT, the best we can tell you is, if you try to log in to UofL e-mail or other Office 365 applications with username@cardmail.louisville.edu once your merger window has opened and you cannot, try using username@louisville.edu.

If more information becomes available, we will share it as soon as possible via the Daily Docket.
