Digital Media Suite

The Digital Media Suite is a state-of-the-art computer media lab in the Learning Commons of the University of Louisville’s Ekstrom Library. Our lab is equipped with the latest video, image, and audio editing software. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced UofL faculty and students are all welcome to come work on their presentations and multimedia assignments.

The factor that sets us apart from computer labs is the constant presence of specially trained student tutors. While our tutors provide technical assistance, they are also trained to analyze and evaluate the progress of a project, ready and willing to give constructive criticism and inspirational guidance on a variety of media projects.

The Digital Media Suite is a collaborative effort by the University Libraries, the Delphi Center, and REACH.

The DMS is not open for regular hours in the summer.  Faculty are invited to schedule appointments this summer with Jason Zahrndt, Digital Media Consultant, to discuss current assignments or make plans for utilizing the DMS for the 2016-17 academic year.

The DMS is hiring student tutors for Fall 2016.  Please view our job description and contact information here.
