LTC Philip Duff

About

    Lieutenant Colonel Philip Duff enlisted into the Army in March 1994 from Cumberland, Maine. He served as an Infantry Soldier from 1994 to 2003 culminating as a Platoon Sergeant in the 3rd Brigade, of the 101st Airborne Division. LTC Duff is a former Warrant Officer, serving as a Medical Evacuation pilot, achieving the rank of chief Warrant Officer Two before accepting a direct commission into the Medical Service Corps (MSC) to continue as a MEDEVAC pilot. He later transitioned into a Human Resources role in the MSC.  He has served in the following leadership and staff positions: Platoon Sergeant, B Co., 3-187 INF BN, 101st ABN;  Section Leader of 542nd Air Ambulance Company, Fort Campbell, KY; XO, B Company, Warrior Transition BN, Fort Campbell, KY; OIC, Wilkes-Barre Medical Recruiting Center; Commander, Maine Recruiting Company; Commander, HHC, Warrior Transition BN, Fort Campbell, KY; BN XO, Warrior Transition BN, Fort Campbell, KY; Deputy Chief, Operations and Plans, MEDCOM G-1, JBSA; Instructor, AMEDD CCC, JBSA; Boards Officer, Health Services Directorate, Recruiting Command HQ, Fort Knox, KY.

     His military education includes Command and General Staff College (ILE); US Army Instructor Course; Army Medical Captain’s Career Course; Survive Escape Resist Evade (SERE) High Risk; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; Medical Evacuation Doctrine Course; Air Assault; UH-60 Qualification Course; AMEDD Basic Officer Leader Course; Warrant Officer Candidate School, and all levels of the NCOES through the Senior Leaders Course.

     He holds the following degrees: Master’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

     His military awards and decorations include: Meritorious Service Medals, Air Medals, Army Commendation Medal w/ Valor, Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Service Medal, Global War or Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Overseas Service Medal, UN Medal, NATO Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Combat Action Badge, Aviator Badge, Air Assault Badge, Senior Instructor’s Badge, Gold Recruiting Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge- Silver. He has also been selected into the Order of Military Medical Merit, received the Glenn E. Morrell Recruiting Medallion, and the AMEDD Karen Wagner Leadership Award.

      LTC Duff is married to Mrs. Debra Duff. The Duff’s have four children; Skylar (24), Christian (23), Jesse (13), and Aaron (12).
