About

Interests: forensic anthropology, bio-archaeology, humans and disease,

Intern at Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office:

  • Worked with Medical Examiners to assist in autopsy procedures
  • Worked with Forensic Anthropologist, Emily Craig, on several forensic cases from the state of Kentucky

Intern at the Anthropology Research Facility at the University of Tennessee

  • Worked with the Bass Collection to learn about skeletal recovery, decomposition, and skeletal variation

Dr. Crespo taught Health and Disease (Fall 2014), this was my favorite class because it was a subject I was already interested in, but I was now learning about it from an evolutionary perspective. Dr. Crespo, and Phil DiBlasi are two faculty members who have made my time at UofL impactful. They have gotten to know me on an academic and personal basis. Both of them truly care about the wellbeing of their students.

Fun Facts:

  • I love to read. I make a “to read” list during the semester so that during summer break I can catch up on the non-academic works I have missed.
  • I enjoy playing and watching sports.
  • Mexican food is my favorite food of all time. Chicken enchiladas!
