Women Veteran Lunch ‘N Learn: Alternative Healing & Personal Health

Campus Talk in a World Café Workshop- “Beyond Vixens, Hot Sauce and Drug Lords. A Multidimensional Look to Latinos in the US"

Join the UofL Women's Center and the Hispanic and Latino Initiatives for January Campus Talk. We will be discussing the reality of Latinos in the U.S. while exploring identity, language, immigration and cultural expression issues. Enjoy a cup of hot coffee and sweets while we chat about latino realities beyond stereotypes.

Human Trafficking Awareness Conference

Tuesday February 2nd 

5pm, Student Activities Center – Multipurpose Room

The Women 4 Women Student Board hosts this annual conference about this modern-day slavery issue in Louisville with local and national speakers. They encourage students and the public to become involved in efforts to make other people aware of the problem and to help stop it.

Celebrate National Wear Red Day

Friday, February 5

10am – 12pm, Student Activities Center

Heart disease is the #1 killer in women in the United States. Learn more about this and other facts by visiting the Women Center table in the SAC. Wear RED and show your support.

Student Parent Association Meeting: "I'm in College But My Partner Isn't" 

Thursday February 11th

This workshop is designed for students-parents on having significant others who are not in college and possible conflicts. Free food and refreshments.

Come and learn more at this fun, yet informative session facilitated by Reanna Smith-Hambin, Adjunct Professor & Vice-President/Communications for the Better Business Bureau.

Women 4 Women Student Board Meeting: Condoms & Candy

Friday February 19th

2-3pm, Ekstrom Library 117A

Learn from wide ranging student-written questions pulled from an anonymous “question bowl” full of free condoms and candy. Questions are answered with honesty and humor by a trained Sexuality Educator while students eat candy and leave with free condoms – as well as lots of helpful information.

AAUW at UofL is beginning our celebration of women's history month by hosting a women's suffrage March reenactment. We invite you to the Women's Center for a short history lesson, then join us as we march around campus and after enjoy some hot chocolate!

Kentucky Women’s Book Festival

Saturday March 5th

9:30 a.m. (meet ‘n greet); 1st session starts at 10:00 a.m., U of L Ekstrom Library

The KWBF is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a full slate of author presentations, book signings and opportunities to mingle with fell book lovers.  New this year is a 10th anniversary wine and cheese reception at the University Club immediately following the festival.

4th Annual International Women’s Day, Cultural Awareness Event

 UofL Selfie Scavenger Hunt

Wednesday March 23

10am – 4pm, Women’s Center

Are you up for a challenge? Love taking selfies? The Women Center’s UofL Selfie Scavenger Hunt will help you explore campus, meet people, and have tons of fun! Students will be given a list of items to find throughout the campus. This is a great time to learn more about the locations of different buildings, classes, offices and more. Stop by the Women’s Center between 10am – 4pm to pick up a list of items to find. All submissions must be turned in by 4pm.

Campus Talk:Her Issues are Everyone Issues: A Look at the Current Realities of Women

PEACC Take Back the Night

The purpose of the Annual Take Back the Night is to bring together organizations, civic leaders, and individuals of Louisville and Jefferson County to protest violence against women and to promote awareness of the attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, which perpetuate this specific type of violence.
