University Advancement recognizes outstanding service
The University Advancement unit recently recognized achievements in the area of advancement. The honors include the William J. Rothwell Awards, which recognize co-workers, deans or faculty who have demonstrated outstanding service to the university’s development efforts.
Winners’ names will be listed on plaques in the Fairfax Building and Keeney House.
Rothwell Award winners include:
Staff Award – Cathey Burnside
Faculty Award – Keith Mountain, PhD
Colleague Award in Annual Giving – Wendy Helterbran
Colleague Award in Development – Jason Diffenderfer
Advancement also created three new awards. The VP Award for Outstanding Employee of the Year recognizes an employee who is outstanding in one or more of the following areas: Professionalism, accountability, teamwork, productivity or innovation. The 2013 award was given to the Advancement Services unit.
The Alumni Award recognizes an advancement employee who has excelled in service to the mission of Alumni Relations. The 2013 award winner is Laura Brock.
The Advancement Services Award recognizes an individual who supports the mission of the unit in gathering, organizing, managing and disseminating a diverse array of biographical and philanthropic information or in utilizing technology. The 2013 winner is Tom Harney.
