Set up a compost collection in your break room, volunteer with UofL’s composting program and compost at home.

7.) Faculty: Identify and avoid cognitive obstacles to online learning
Noon – 1:45 p.m. Sept. 25 Ekstrom Library, Room W210, Belknap Campus
Virtual classrooms are populated by flesh-and-blood students who think and learn in characteristically human ways. These cognitive tendencies pose special challenges to effective online education. In this session, Keith Lyle from the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences will describe some common cognitive obstacles to online learning and offer suggestions for how classes might be structured to avoid them. Lunch is served; pre-registration is required.
