1.) Kentucky Author Forum presents Congressman John Lewis
2:30 p.m. Oct. 15 Bigelow Hall, Miller Information Technology Center, Belknap Campus
Free and open to UofL faculty, staff and students
Congressman John Lewis, Georgia’s 5th Congressional District Representative, is the only speaker at the 1963 March on Washington still living today and the author of “March,” a graphic novel. The event is open to the university community, and will be moderated by Enid Trucios-Haynes, law professor. After the event, copies of Lewis’ book will be available for purchase.

4 p.m. - 11 p.m. Oct. 16 The Original Impellizzeri’s Pizza, 110 W. Main St.
Invite your co-workers, family and friends to the Impellizzeri’s near the YUM Center to help support the 2014 Human Trafficking Awareness Conference sponsored by the UofL Women’s Center and the Women 4 Women Student Board. Have fun, network and at the same time support the conference. No coupon or flyer necessary. 10 percent of proceeds from all customers will go towards the conference.

5.) Graduate Students: Oct. 18 is last day to buy tickets for Oct. 26 Ghost Walk
7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Oct. 26 Beginning from the Brown Hotel
$8 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under (Graduate students can buy tickets for themselves and up to three guests from SIGS)
This is an easy 90-minute walking tour of downtown Louisville’s most famous addresses, with several stops along the route. Guests will hear stories of ghosts that haunt some of the buildings and see pictures of paranormal activity. This Ghost Walk is reserved for UofL graduate students and their guests only. All registration must go through SIGS, and tickets are limited.
