8.) Green Tip: Fair Trade promotes peace and justice
Celebrate UofL’s Peace & Justice Weeks by minimizing abuse to people and planet. First look for products made locally — or at least in the USA. Buying local reduces pollution, strengthens our economy and minimizes worker exploitation. But what about my coffee and chocolate? When buying from overseas, seek fair trade products which ensure just conditions for workers and farmers. Learn more & sample fair trade coffee at a talk on ethical food systems today at 4:30 p.m. in Shumaker Research Building 139.
