Messer, MD, assistant professor, UofL Department of Urology, presents “Bladder Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment: What Every Primary Care Physician Should Know.” Please join us as Messer discusses evaluating patients with gross hematuria; risk assessment; and the treatment of muscle and non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. The UofL Continuing Health Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The summer yoga session has started at the Get Healthy Now Wellness Center. Take action to help yourself develop strength, flexibility and balance throughout your body and mind. For $40 enjoy unlimited access during the summer semester to classes taught by our experienced yoga instructor. See the full group exercise schedule for more information. For new members, an enrollment packet must be completed in person, or may be emailed to Get Healthy Now.

3.) Enroll in the Microsoft Campus Agreement by June 14
Through June 14, university departments and schools may enroll in the annual Microsoft Campus Agreement (MCA). The MCA will last for 12 months, providing access to Microsoft Windows and Office, including Outlook, at a rate of $81 per full-time employee. Enroll to keep departmental software and computers up-to-date and licensed through June 30, 2014. Enrollment includes free online Microsoft training and discounted work-at-home versions of Microsoft Office and Windows.

4.) University Business Training — Registration is available

The Delphi Center is opening registration for the University Business Training (UBT) program. The UBT curriculum provides individuals working with business processes at UofL with the training they need to be effective in their positions. This certification program focuses on university financial and human resource processes and is a blend of online and in-classroom training. If you are interested in a customized version of this program, you may discuss your training options with John Spence.

5.) Auditory Training Research Study

The UL Audiology Program is recruiting adults aged 60 and older to participate in an auditory training study. Participants will be asked to perform auditory exercises over headphones across multiple sessions. Qualified individuals participating in the study will be compensated $10 a visit up to a total of $220, in addition to parking expenses. 6.) New CME Program: Updates in the Treatment of Dementia

Make plans now to attend this exciting symposium featuring an update on the diagnosis and treatment of dementia in general, with a special focus on Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). Warren Boling and Robert Friedland will highlight the importance of recognizing NPH’s triad of symptoms and also discuss recent technological advancements in shunt treatment. Participants will earn 1.5 hours of CME credit, and dinner will be served. For free registration, RSVP to neuro@louisville.edu.
