3.) Festival of Faiths - Sacred Silence: Pathway to Compassion
10 a.m. May 14-19 Actors Theatre & Galt House
Cost varies from free to $25. Day passes: $25, Festival pass: $100. Half-price for students.
UofL is an underwriting community partner in this week’s Festival of Faiths. Building up to the Dalai Lama’s visit to Louisville, the festival presents internationally renowned experts in contemplative traditions from Buddhist, Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Hindu perspectives. It features an inspiring series of workshops, lectures, films and interfaith activities designed to reveal the power of silence, mindfulness and contemplative practice in transforming ourselves and our world.

Need encouragement for living day by day with peace and hope? Come join us Wednesday morning to discuss how to live in preparation for the return of the Lord as recorded in 1 Peter Chapter 4. 8.) Pre-2010 Blackboard course shells to be deleted
All pre-2010 Blackboard course shells remaining on the active Blackboard server will be deleted after Friday, May 31, as part of our course archive and purge cycle. If there is a need to retain any content from these course shells, users should export the contents to a local drive for later access. These courses have been archived and can be restored for a limited time at a later date to retrieve content if necessary.

The UofL Kosair Charities Pediatric Clinical Research Unit at Kosair Children’s Hospital is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate acetaminophen given into a vein to treat moderate to severe pain in infants and children less than 2 years of age following surgery or an injury. Subjects may be compensated for time/travel.

The UofL Kosair Charities Pediatric Clinical Research Unit at Kosair Children’s Hospital is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate an oral liquid pain medicine to treat pain following surgery in children from 2 years through 12 years of age. Subjects may be compensated for time/travel.

The UofL Kosair Charities Pediatric Clinical Research Unit at Kosair Children’s Hospital is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate the safety and dose response of an investigational drug used for high blood pressure. Children from 1 year to < 6 years of age diagnosed with high blood pressure may be eligible for participation. Subjects will be compensated for time/travel.
