1.) Gray Street Farmers’ Market opens May 16
10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. May 16 through Oct. 31, Health Sciences Center, 485 E. Gray St.
Free, public
Need something to look forward to after Derby and graduation? Join us for opening day of the Gray Street Farmers’ Market. With 12 vendors at the market, customers can find the finest in local farm products, including fruits, vegetables, breads, jam, granola and more. Debit cards and SNAP benefits are accepted. The School of Public Health and Information Sciences sponsors the market.

2.) HSC Walking Tour

Free, faculty and staff
Join the next Health Sciences Center walking tour and get a good handle on how to get around HSC. The tour will stop at a couple of key areas as schedule permits. Plan on the tour lasting about 1.5 hours.

5.) Medicine Grand Rounds canceled

Department of Medicine Grand Rounds has been canceled for May 2. The lecture series will resume its normal schedule on Thursday, May 9. Happy Derby Week.

6.) Parking discount for UofL staff, faculty and students
May 3 and May 4, Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium and Iowa Lot near left field of James Patterson Stadium
$5 for cars; RV and bus excluded
The UofL Athletic department provides reduced-rate Kentucky Oaks and Derby parking at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium for UofL staff, faculty and students displaying the UofL parking hang-down pass. People walking to Churchill Downs should consider the Iowa Lot on Second Street near the left field of James Patterson Stadium.

Kornhauser Library is offering EndNote training. EndNote is a software program for Mac or PC that is used to create bibliographies, import/export references from databases, convert references to a chosen citation style and to manage PDFs. Software available here.
