1.) Matthew Ronay Selected Works: 2007–2010 Opening Reception and Performance
Opening Reception 5 p.m.–6:30 p.m. March 7, Schneider Hall Galleries; talk to follow in Room 205, Bingham Humanities Building

A Louisville native and Manual Visual Arts Magnet alumni, Ronay earned a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and a MFA from Yale University. His work has been shown nationally and internationally. The exhibit will open with a reception and performance piece, “Activation,” by Ronay. He will present the Nora Lasigi Bullitt Memorial Lecture following the reception.

8.) Call for Nominations - Outstanding Community Engagement Awards
Nominations are being accepted for the 5th Annual Outstanding Community Engagement Award. This award recognizes the outstanding community engagement of faculty, staff, students and community partners and comes with a $2,500 monetary award. All activity must have been performed in the 2012-2013 academic year. Submission deadline: April 15. For more information view the award website.

Theodore Goodson III, University of Michigan, Brown & Williamson lecturer. Goodson’s lab was the first to investigate the fundamental excitations in small metal topologies which are now candidates for tissue and other biological imaging. Goodson has been a senior editor for the Journal of Physical Chemistry since 2007.
