Miscellaneous
5.) Green Tip: Fly Less, Travel Smart
Summer travel season is upon us, but there are ways to get there without destroying our planet. Flying causes 5 to 10 times more pollution per passenger-mile than ground-based options, and it accounts for 6 percent of UofL’s total carbon emissions. Consider greener, less sardine-like options: video- or teleconference; carpool with Zimride; take the train or bus (Megabus, Miller & Greyhound all serve Louisville). If you must fly, offset your emissions through a service like Carbonfund.org or TerraPass.
Additional Information: Zimride – UofL Ridesharing. Book trains and offset carbon through Egencia. Details on alternatives to flying.

6.) Cardinals Jr. Golf Clinics
9 a.m. June 23, The Cardinal Club
$175
The Louisville golf clinic is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 17 June 23 or June 24-25. Your son or daughter will receive instruction from both men’s and women’s coaches as well as current players. Click here for more information and registration.
Additional Information: Andrew Tredway, 956-802-6483. Cardinals Golf Camp
